Khuvsgul lake is the largest freshwater lake in Central Asia after the Caspian Sea. The lake is surrounded by beautiful, lush forest and it is the best place to see Reindeers. The area is best known as the cradle of the Tsaatan tribe. Also, Khuvsgul province is home of Mongolian most Famous Shamans. This trip allows us to meet those Tsaatan people and Shamans and to see how they live. Finally, the place is a unique experience no matter what time of year because the lake completely freezes in the winter and people celebrate the Ice Festival. Magical Khuvsgul awaits you to show its beauties to you in the North.

Day 1
Arrival to Mongolia/ Ulaanbaatar-city tour
We will pick you up at the airport or train station and private transfer to a hotel in the city center. After checking-in a hotel, you will have some rest /it depends on your flight and it can be changed a little bit/ . For lunch, we will have a Mongolian traditional meal in a local restaurant. City exploring begins with The National Museum of Mongolia- presents the Neolithic era right to the present day. Then, we will head to the Gandan monastery- Buddhist center in Mongolia. One of the last stops is folk art concert- traditional throat singing, folk song, contortion etc. This is the end of the day after dinner. Dinner will be served at your hotel.

Day 2-5
Murun city and
Khuvsgul Lake
We will start our tour to Khuvsgul province-Murun city. Your private driver will transfer you and your tour guide to the Chingis Khan airport. By plane, it takes 1h30min only and you guys will meet your driver at the Murun airport. In Murun city we will see Uushigiin Ulaan Uvur Deer Stone, and you can visit the Local Black Market. We will have lunch at a local restaurant. Drive deep into Mongolian “Blue Pearl” after a little break in Murun city. In the Khuvsgul Lake basin, there are many rare species of flora and fauna not only in Mongolia but also in the world. It accounts for 1% of the world's freshwater. By the second half of November, it freezes completely, and the ice is 1 meter thick. There are four islands in Khuvsgul Lake: Modon Khui, Khadan Khui, Dalain Khui and Baga Khui. On this day, we will discover Khuvsgul lake basin and ride a boat to one of the islands. Also, it will be nice to take a walk around the lake and a bonfire party in the evening. Next day, we will visit the summer place of Reindeer breeders, the Tsaatan family. Tsaatan people live deep in the taiga forest, in the summer some of them move closer to Khuvsgul Lake. It allows visitors to meet them, experiencing their unique way of living, culture, herding and to buy their hand crafts. Another amazing thing is to see Reindeers by near you and you have a chance to ride them too.
On the last day of Khuvsgul, we will visit a real shaman. This will be interesting to know about Shamanism, its culture, sacrament and ritual. If you want, you can ask for your wishes and destiny or whatever you want.

Meet your tour guide and driver in the hotel lobby and private transfer to the airport for your return flight. See you again soon in Mongolia! Bayrlalaa… Bayartai (you will learn these words during your adventure)
Day 6
Back to Ulaanbaatar
Enjoy some last minute walking and breathtaking. It is time to say goodbye to the Khuvsgul. Head back to Ulaanbaatar after breakfast.Your private driver will transfer you to the Murun airport. And another driver will welcome you at Chingis Khaan airport in Ulaanbaatar. You can pause and take a photo or just feel the moment when you see picturesque places. We will have lunch in Ulaanbaatar after arrival. If you want, we will visit the cashmere factory store for shopping. Private transfer to the hotel. Dinner will be at your hotel. The rest of the evening at leisure - walk along the streets and explore the city night, with many shops, bars and cafes.
